Meet your teammates on the court for a recreation, fun and non competitive league. Players will learn basketball skills through practice and game play.
-Volunteer coaches needed for the best possible playing and learning experience for the kids! Please indicate upon registration if you’re willing to coach. You will coach your child's team. Very basic knowledge of basketball is all you need, the OPR team will take care of the rest!
*Detailed league information, including team placement and schedules will be emailed to all pre-registered participants prior to the first week, Saturday, December 13. Please ensure your email is accurate on your OPR account and you opt-in to all email notifications. Email is how we will communicate league information for the season.
-Registration Deadline: Tuesday, November 25 at 10:00 am, or until roster spots are filled.
-Once league is filled, players may be added to wait list if available; additional teams may be formed if there are enough players.
-On the wait list? If a roster spot opens, you will be notified via the email on your OPR account and have 24 hours to complete payment. If payment is not completed in 24 hours, the participant will be removed from the wait list.
-Please check your child's grade for accuracy in your OPR user account prior to registering.
-Registrations after our deadline will be charged a $10 late fee and may not receive a team shirt.
League Features:
-Ages and Times (*Times are tentative and subject to change based on the number of teams in each division.)
Pee Wee: Grades K-1(may alternate/switch times each week, pending # of teams)
-8:30 - 9:30 am OR 9:45 - 10:45 am
Rookie: Grades 2-3 (may alternate/switch times each week, pending # of teams)
-9:45 - 10:45 am OR 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Mighty Mite: Grades 4-6
-11:00 am - 12:00 pm
*All above divisions are CO-ED
-Dates: Saturdays, December 13 - January 31 (no practices/games 12/27 & 1/3)
-Time: 1-hour morning times (see above for tentative times)
-Teams are formed by OPR. No special requests for teammates and/or coaches. All games are played at Ogden Community Center.
Note: Mouth guards are recommended. All basketball equipment and team shirts will be provided. Please wear sneakers and athletic clothing.
-Minimum/maximum numbers are in effect for each division. Based on the number of participants registered and number of coaches we may combine or re-arrange some divisions for players to have the best playing and learning experience. Play will be adjusted for safety as needed. Different teams may form each week to play against each other.
